August 23

Prismacolor Verithin; not quite finished, but I stayed up waaay past my bedtime working on this and needed some sleep. It looks like her, but needs a little more work. I'd forgotten how long it takes to do a colored pencil piece!

This is lovely. I know what you mean about working in coloured pencil. I keep thinking I want to do more cp pieces but then I think - do I really have the patience? Anyway, you've done a really nice job here on a beautiful little girl. Love the hat. :-)

I love this portrait - and the wonderful little girl's dress! I'm in awe of your lovely colored pencil style as I go back through your blog. The pencil piece that you did of the lamp in the dark looks so much like Seurat drawings!

Great portrait - soft and evocative! Colored pencil is a wonderful medium for subjects like this. Agreed with you about the time it takes though.
